Can I continue to take my medications or supplements before my appointment?Avoid Blood thinners: avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen etc. 3 to 5 days prior to your appointment. These medications can cause bleeding and poor pigment retention. Take an antihistamine: if you tend to swell, you can take an over-the-counter antihistamine like Benadryl 1-2 hours prior to your appointment. No fish oils 1 week prior to procedures as they also thin blood.

Can I go out into the sun?Avoid sun exposure: No sun tanning for at least a week prior to your appt.

What about contact lenses?Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment if you are have an eyeliner procedure.

What about alcohol?No alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment and only 1 cup of coffee as they raise blood pressure and also thins the blood.

How long will my Permanent Makeup last?Permanent makeup typically last for 1 to 5 years Eyebrow microblading can last for 1 to 3 years Eyeliner and lip blush can last 3 to 5 years Pigments gradually fade over Time, requiring touch-ups to maintain desired look

Are there factors that affect the longevity?Skin Type: Oily skin seems to break down pigments faster than dry skin Exposure to sun: UV rays can cause pigments to fade more quickly Skin care routine: Aggressive exfoliation and use of chemical peels can expedite pigment fading Lifestyle: Activities like swimming and excessive Sweating can also impact the longevity of permanent makeup

Is the process painful?Permanent makeup is usually not painful because a topical anesthetic is applied before and during the procedure. Some will feel vibrations, while some feel nothing at all.

Is permanent makeup safe?Permanent makeup is generally safe when performed by a skilled professional in a Sterile Environment. However, there are some risk to consider, such as allergic reactions, infection and misplacement of pigment.

How long does permanent makeup procedure take?The time that it takes for a permanent makeup procedure depends on the type of procedure, but it usually takes between 2 to 4 hours. Multiple procedures may take 5 to 6 hours.

How long does healing take?After a procedure, some swelling and redness is normal for up to 24 hours. The treated area should be kept clean and no makeup should be applied for several days. Normal healing time is between 7 to 10 days with complete healing at 4 to 6 weeks. Slow healers can take upwards of 6 to 8 weeks.

Will I be able to go into the sun?Sun Exposure can either lighten the look of permanent makeup or cause it to turn extremely dark. No sun for at least 4 weeks and you should always put sunblock on the treated areas to keep them from discoloring in the future.

What else should be considered?Smokers, people with rosacea or acne or “sun worshippers” May have less desirable results.

What about allergies?Some people are allergic to pigments or the anesthetic used to numb them. Red pigments are the most common allergy reactors. So a patch test behind the ear is usually required before lip procedures are done.
